MY FED FARM
My FED Farm 2021!
This program had a goal of providing gardens kits to Greater Victoria residents facing barriers to fresh, healthy, affordable food — those living in low-income housing, senior centers, immunocompromised households, laid off workers, frontline workers, individuals with disabilities, single parent households, First Nation communities, etc. The 2021 program has now ended and we would like to thank our amazing volunteers, the My FED Farm team and neighbourhood connections for making it possible!
For more on the My FED Farm 2021 program efforts stay tuned for our impact report!

Last year, we provided gardens and educational resources to 1,115 people in 514 homes in the Greater Victoria region.
This amounted to a potential of 10,000 pounds of food grown!
Stay tuned for this year's results!

GARDEN RECIPIENTS
After a successful My FED Farm season applications are now closed.
We would like to thank everyone who applied and volunteered. Stay tuned for more details on our impact in 2021!

MY FED FARM CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN
You can still help the My FED Farm Program by donating to the crowdfunding campaign below!
SELF-WATERING PLANTER SALES
This spring we are selling self-watering planters that are perfect for starting your own edible garden! All proceeds raised from the sale of these planters will go towards our gardening projects including the Urban Learning Garden, My FED Farms, and our Urban Farmer Workshops!
These planters are easy to setup, low maintenance, and require less fertilizer and water than a conventional garden.

VOLUNTEER With Us
My FED Farm would not be possible without an awesome team of volunteers! We would like to thank everyone who applied to volunteer with My FED Farms this year!
If you are looking for other volunteer opportunities with FED check out the form below!
The health and safety our community members and volunteers is extremely important to us. All volunteers will be working individually or with someone from their own household and we will go over COVID safety protocols prior to starting.
PROJECT PARTNERS
We are thrilled to be working with so many great organizations through this project. My FED Farm would not be possible without support from the following:

TOPSOIL Innovative Agriculture converts under-utilized urban into productive food growing areas. They supply fresh premium produce direct to restaurants and the local community in Victoria. We are thrilled to be partnering with the City of Victoria's 'Get Growing, Victoria' campaign!
Converting space at the Beacon Hill Park nursery, they will be growing over 75,000 edible plants to support those who have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 in Victoria and donated over 3,300 plants to our initiative in 2020.
They have also provided funding to support the educational materials developed in partnership through the Growing Together Campaign.
We are so proud to work in a City with leaders like ours.

Growing Together is a collaborative initiative that aims to support residents across the region to grow their own food. A number of food-focused organizations and individuals are working together towards one shared, enthusiastic goal: to motivate and enable people across the CRD to plant, harvest and distribute as much fresh food as possible over the next six months. We can do this!

The Good Food Network, who is hosting this campaign, is a network of organizations from across the Victoria capital region (Coast Salish territories) working to create a robust local food system.
