fed urban farm
(Formerly TOPSOIL)
your friendly neighbourhood farmers
FED Urban Farm grows produce for the community at the foot of the Bay Street Bridge in Vic West. Originally operating as TOPSOIL, FED took over the farm in Spring 2024 after working in partnership with TOPSOIL for over five years. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram for opportunities to get involved, from volunteer placements to workshops and more!

As a registered charity, all proceeds from farm sales go towards FED's programming, which is designed to increase food security and make urban agriculture more accessible to everyone in our community.
Weekly CSA Program
Members of FED's Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program receive a box of fresh, vibrant, in-season produce each week from May to October.

CSA enrolment has closed for 2024. To get your hands on FED Urban Farm veggies, check out our on-site market!
Get notified when 2025 CSA enrolment opens!

dockside green
We've partnered with Dockside Green by Bosa Development to turn 20,000 square feet of their undeveloped land into a vibrant farm. We love being surrounded by our community, so don't be shy - come on down and say hello!

The farm is a living example of how underutilized land can be transformed into vibrant, productive food growing areas. We grow our flavourful spray-free veggies in geotextile containers that are lightweight, modular, and inner-city friendly.
Restaurants
We are all about partnering with chefs who are just as passionate about Victoria's hyper-local food economy as we are.
Our fresh produce is hand-harvested and packed directly into sealed, food-safe containers before being delivered within hours of harvest. Once the produce is used, we collect and re-use the containers for the next harvest, eliminating unnecessary landfill waste.

We strive to provide each chef with consistent deliveries at the quantity they desire. Delivering twice a week cuts down on required fridge storage space and allows chefs to always be working with and serving the freshest produce possible.

Your customers will taste the difference with our spray-free farm-to-plate veggies grown only a few blocks away.
Community Engagement
Great things happen when we work together! Collaborating with organizations, businesses, and educational institutions on a wide range of community-enriching programs creates a ripple effect that creates broader positive change.

From farm tours to garden design and consultation, we are passionate about creating new opportunities to engage in our local food system. For more information on our community projects or to enquire about a tour, workshop, or other collaboration opportunity, contact us below.
