FED GARDEN PROJECT COORDINATOR

Ideal start date April 20th 2021 to August 27th 2021. 35 hours per week at $20.50 per hour. Most of the work will be completed during the week, some weeknight and weekend work may be required.

This position is for someone with past gardening experience and enjoys connecting with people. The FED Project Coordinator will support FED’s urban agriculture initiatives:

• My FED Farm – My FED Farms will deliver food garden kits to 500 vulnerable homes this summer. This program will run from late Apr- July. Our focus will be on setting up community gardens and individual home gardens.

• FED Cajas – pilot social enterprises retaining cajas (self-watering garden planters)

• Food Eco District – sustainable dining district in Victoria’s downtown cote

• Urban Learning Garden – outdoor garden classroom located outside the downtown Victoria library branch

The FED Project Coordinator will mainly be working out of office and will be found taking on the role as Site Manager for the My FED Farm project and will be present at pop-up shops for cajas sales. You will report directly to the FED Program Manager. See the full job posting here.
